Hey Bret, thats a great idea! Free sample of book really looks impressive and I would love to buy full version of it for my lady however from what I can see you are releasing only paper version.. do you plan on selling as PDFs as well? Reason I ask is that I’m not from US and shipping costs overseas would be really painful…
Marcin, Amazon UK will be selling the book, and there will be eReader versions as well. Don’t worry I gotcha covered.
Glad it will be available on amazon.co.uk thought I was going to be missing out. When is it getting released?
Thats great Bret. Glad to see this. Do you have any ideas on when Amazon UK will have this book? Also when eReader version will be available?
Our publishers have alerted Amazon UK but they are slow to act I hear (Amazon UK made a mistake which is why you’re not able to pre-order right now). And not sure about the eReader versions either, but I’d assume pretty quick. I’ll ask my publishers about this.
I have the e reader version and it cuts off the charts, could I get a pdf of just the charts?
Bret, I have looked at the sample and realize there is a bodyweight version of this program. Is there anyway to modify any weighted stuff? I have a home a bench, kettlebells up to 53lb (doubles sets of the 26lb and 35lb as well) and Josh Henkin’s Ultimate sandbags (max load 80lb). I can’t see the program acutal sets and reps in the sample, but I am thinking things like hip thrusts and also hinge type movements and lunging.
To sum it up, basically am thinking of the effectiveness of doing the bodyweight program vs the weighted one. A gym as well as a barbell are out of my reach right now….hard to see so many barbell based things out there Any suggestions?
Tina, here’s what I think. Buy the book, do the bodyweight program (and some of your kettlebell and sandbag stuff), and gradually expand your arsenal over time by checking Craigslist, etc. Everybody deserves a home gym 🙂 And you can’t build your booty to the maximum without a barbell IMO. Just my two cents, but I can’t see you regretting your purchase.
Not sure how to share links from posting it on fb but I also tweeted (hoopinjenn) and pinned it on pinterest (hoopinjenn)
Muchas gracias Jenn!!!
Awesome Bret! Thanks for this, can’t wait for the book!
Thanks Dawn!
Hi Bret, many thanks for making part of your book available to us. Will it be distributed in the UK?
Yes, apparently Amazon UK made an error and we’re waiting on them to fix it. The book will be available via Amazon UK though so rest assured knowing that.
I pre-ordered this book about 1 month ago. After seeing this, I’m more than excited to get it in my hands. Bret, you do such an excellent job! I have recommended everyone to your site. Now I get to tell them about getting your book. For me, you’re the top “go to” exercise person I reference on the internet. Best of luck in your continuing success 🙂
Thanks Brenda!!! I appreciate that!
Bret and Kellie,
I must say this book might be one of the best published pieces of glute related material I have ever seen. The segments are easy to break down. The pictures require minimal breakdown. And last, the there is no better two people in the fitness realm to go over such an important subject. Can’t wait to see you two hit it big! Looking forward to seeing you guys at the Fitness Expo.
GREAT WORK!
That’s what I think too haha, but I’m really biased. Looking forward to meeting you too!
Looking forward to meeting you as well. So glad you enjoyed the free sample book.
Good guy Glute Guy
Writes awesome book.
Gives the interesting parts away for free.
Glute Guy appreciates this comment 😉
I just ordered the book on Amazon. I really wish I could have got it on my Kindle but I just couldn’t wait.
Thanks Lorraine! I can relate – I lack patience too when I want something bad enough.
Wonderful, Lorraine. Unfortunately Kindle, Nook, and other digital formats do not release until the actual book launch. But the actual book is so beautiful it will make a nice coffee table piece. 🙂
Enjoy and thanks for your support.
Got it on Monday and you’re right. I`m sooo glad I got the physical book; it`s gorgeous.
Hello Bret! Can you please clarify sometihg from the Book Please! page 60 gives a workout outline which has back to back workout days and the A,B,C, order also differs from the workouts and days outlined in the “Gluteal Goddess” 12 week portion. the 12 week has you doin workout A on day 1, workut B on day 3 and workout C on day 5. im wanting to strictly follow this new program but im not sure which one to use! Ive asked this question numerous times in various places but havent got an answer yet! Please help! thank you so much for your book and your time! (Also, the back to back on page 60 confuse me because my understanding was that our muscles needed 24-48 hours of recovery period, if you can shed some light on that also that would be great thank you!)
Jill
I am excited about this book! Love you Bret and that you are encouraging to women, and have great information. I wasnt going to pre ordero but would love the prize so I’ll do it now 🙂 good luck!
Much love right back at you Kylee! Thanks.
The book sample looks amazing. Great work!!
Will order and recommend. Thanks for putting it together.
You’re very welcome Viviane. Glad you like it!
Ordered! Bundled with becoming a supple leopard for free shipping!
Hi, Bret!
Just ordered the book. Can`t wait to get it – it`s going to take a looong month to ship it here (I`m in Western Europe).
My booty is already so much better/tighter thanks to you & Marianne (MyOMyTV)! My hubby especially appreciate this (actually I`m sometimes getting mad `cause he doesn`t waste a chance to grab me by my behind! hahaha).
So thanks a million times for what you`re doing to encourage us girls to build a great booty!!!
Shared on my facebook timeline! Thanks for the pdf preview! This book is going to be phenomenal! So excited to get the actual book in my hands! And even more excited to meet the both of you at the Fitness Summit in May! Congratulations on putting out such an awesome resource! 🙂
Thank you so much for your continued support, Kimberly. You are awesome and I can’t wait to meet you either!
This preview was a genius move – after reading it, I have preordered the book! I lift at home, so my review will be for implementing the program outside the gym. I can’t wait to try it out!
Hey Bret,
I pre-ordered the book but would much rather have it as an ebook so I can read it on the go and while at work. Is there anyway to make a change in the format that I’ve ordered?
Thanks,
Steph
Hi Bret and Kellie, I pre-ordered a copy of the book through Amazon a couple of days ago and, especially after reading the “sample” in the downloadable PDF, I really can’t wait for the book to arrive. From what I have read (and I had no doubts it would be this way), the book seems excellent and beautifully written (Kellie’s touch there).
I have “loved” your blog for over two and a half years and it’s one of the most extensive, complete, interesting and informative sources of fitness and strength training information available, if not “the best”.
I wish you the best of luck for the success of your book.
Sarah
A pre-ordered copy will land in France.
Merci Bret “Monsieur Fessiers” Contreras.
Hi Bret,
thank you for the programme and for the book and for all the information you share everyday! I wanna strong glutes now! i was brain washed! 🙂
I asked in the Get glutes website but didnt get an answer. I hope I can ask here and to spam a little bit 🙂
I asked about how to work the glutes/legs if I do not wanna to get bulky quads. I used to work with weights/without weights and still got bulky front of legs. A nightmare, broiler legs.. Can you suggest how to train? I still believe that with weights I can reach leaner legs – Marianne’s legs are lean and strong, Kielle legs are amazing!
Another question.. how to progress if i have limited weights at home (barbell and plates). I cannot progress in overloading, but can progress in reps, in sets with the same weights but any suggestions how to do that? How to make a variety for progressing?
Huge thanks for any advices!
With respect!
Hi Indre! So sorry you didn’t receive an answer. Where did you ask your question on the site? I will make sure that we address it there or via email.
You can email us at admin@getglutes.com.
Warmest,
Kellie
Hi Kielle,
thank you for your response. Yes I have asked a question in the section ”Ask your coach” so I do not know there the questions go. I have sent an email to the email above. Thanks.
The sample is great! What about a ebook version of the whole thing? Will that be available early April too? Or before? Wishful thinking . . .
Just wrote my publishers asking them. Will keep you posted…
Okay here’s what I received from the publishers:
“The e-editions of Strong Curves (Kindle, Nook, iPad) will be available on the release date (April 2nd). One thing to keep in mind, is that when they do go up online, they won’t be linked to the paperback edition immediately – that takes about 24 hours or so longer to flow through Amazon. So, it will be there and will be search-able but it will be listed separately for those 24 hours or so.”
Great! I will find it on April 2nd then and post my review of the rest of it shortly thereafter. I would be thrilled to be lucky enough to win the online consulting with you.
Well I finally got the time to sit and read free book pages…I have been anxiously waiting for some free time to enjoy you and Kellie’s hard work. Saturday night at the movies my husband and grandson watch the Avengers…me I grab the computer and read Strong Curves…my husband asks why aren’t you watching the movie…I replied I am watching Bootystar Gigantica starring Bret and Kellie…Thoroughly enjoyed the pages…cannot wait till the rest arrives…Great job.. Saturday nights rock thanks to you and soon my glutes will rock also..Wishing you both all the great things you deserve…Many thanks for past and present and future postings…
Thank you GGS – Bootystar Gigantica haha!!! Love it.
This is the best preview I have ever seen, packed with great info. I can’t wait to get my hands on the book. Could you start a blog spot so we can post before and afters?
Thanks Barb! We have a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GetGlutes?ref=hl
Hi Bret,
This is awesome! I have some female clients and judging for the sample it’s definitely gonna be an awesome resource. Thank you so much!
And I included this in my latest blog post. Here is the link http://kedrickwan.com/strength-is-sexy/
Keep Kicking ass,
-kedric
Okay, I couldn’t resist and pre-ordered. I actually couldn’t decide between this book and Gather ,paleo cookbook from The Food Lovers, you won.. 😀 Can’t wait to receive my copy, for sure will leave a review on Amazon once I am done with it :))
I was thinking and hoping that I didn’t forget to say ‘THANK U” for my copy and so excited to see a lot of people reading it also and I also shared
have a blessed one Bret Ur Awesome
Will the ebook be released tomorrow as well? I know it’s been asked already but maybe by now you know when 😉
I’ll be leaving for a vacation end of this week and would like to read it on my ipad!
Overlooked a comment so just found it! Thanks!
I’ve been following you web site for about 8 months and appreciate your scientific approach. As a man, can I benefit from this book or is it somehow women specific?
I have been reading the book and began week one, but the book seems to be missing an actual alphabetical exercise index. So if I want to quickly find the RKC plank I have to look through basically all of the photos and find the section and then the specific exercise. It says page 172 is an exercise index, but it is just a photo of the cover of the book.
Is this a publishing mistake? And if so where can I get the index. so i can print it out and add it to the book for ease of use and time-saving?
So far enjoying the writing style, data and program. Thanks.
I’ve been tempted to make my own index. I would love access to a print out.
I just bought the book strong curves on my kindle, is there any where to download and print the workout training logs?
Thanks!
Hi,
1. In the Preface of Strong Curves, Lou Schuyler characterizes its program as an ideal “complement” to his own New Rules of Lifting for Women. How, I am wondering, might one use Strong Curves as such? Might do your “lower body only” exercises in tandem with New Rules workouts? On “rest days”?
2. Like the writer above, I have the Kindle version and would be grateful for worksheets to download. Can you direct me to a link?
Thank you,
Laura
Hello B&K,
do I understand correctly that with the book I will not ONLY develop my lower body (and have to take extra upper body excercises).
Does it cover the full body development via glute-focused excercises?
Thanks a lot)
Ivana
The Strong Curves book contains two different work out programs. In both programs each day’s workout contains a mix of exercises to work the entire body with more exercises focused on the glutes. The book suggests that you can only do the glute focused exercises and will still obtain good full body results if you choose.
I bought your Strong Curves book and so far I’m impressed with all the information it gives. I have a question about the Bodyweight parallel squat. I can’t find it in the exercise index in the book. I only have a question because the Training log wants you to denote how many reps for the left and right side…is not just a regular parallel squat? Pages 88 and 98
Thank you
Adore your amazing site. Check this fantastic SEO news at: ncodesoft [dot]com
I read your book. It’s awesome. I just have one question. On the page where we set how much fat to eat, we had to use a certain percent of our lean body mass. But in the example that follows, you used a percentage of her total weight (130 pounds). Do I use my total body weight or my lean body mass? Thanks!
Just finished the book on my iPad…can’t wait to start the workout! Is there any way to get PDF files of the workout logs, can’t copy and paste those on an iPad 🙁
I’m having that same problem, Nikki.
Hi Brett,
Reading the blogs and reviews I’m keen to get hold of your book.
Where can i buy it in Australia?
i tried Amazon Australia but can only purchase on Kindle.
I prefer a paperback if this is possible.
Hi Brett!
I have been following you and Rachel Guy for quite a while because you guys really focus on what I am obsessed with perfecting…the butt! I purchased Strong Curves last night and was blown away by how incredibly well and responsibly written it is. My question is this, I am 18 weeks from competing in my first bikini competition and am wondering if program can accommodate this? Would you recommend after about 4 weeks, really taking the reps down and increasing the load for the rest of my training? I would really appreciate your advice 🙂
Thanks and Happy new year!
C
Hey Bret!
I love the book and I am currently doing the lower body only program . It’s been 2 weeks and I have been doing the workouts 4 days a week, with rest on Wednesdays…however is it okay for me to be doing it 4 times a week or would i get better results doing it 3 times a week? (M, W, F)
Thank you!
Steph
Hi Bret,
I’ve just purchased Strong Curves onto my iPhone but didn’t realize I also wouldn’t be able to print out the workout sheets to take to the gym. Would it be possible to be sent the PDF’s?
Thanks! I also am enjoying the book and can’t wait to plan my start date for the workouts to begin.
Smiles,
Sue
Sue, I edited this blogpost and included the pdf’s of the training templates at the bottom of the post. You can download them directly from this page. BC
Hi Bret –
Like Sue, I’ve purchased the e-version of the book to my Kindle and am unable to properly view or print the PDFs. Is there a way to email those or make them available?
The book has a lot of great info. Thanks!!
Tammy
Tammy, see my response to Sue. You can now download it directly from this page. Thanks!
Is there a way to download the descriptions of the exercises for each program? I am having a hard time locating a description when I need to do a certain exercise during my workout. I’d like to have the specific ones I need immediately on hand. I have the book on my Nook.
Thanks!
I ended up buying the hard copy of the book. Lesson learned: not a good idea to buy exercise books in e-format. I placed little post-it flags on the exercises towards back of the book. I used different colored flags for the A, B, and C workouts.
Bret, sure wish the book didn’t end so abruptly without an index! BUT, it is THE Best book of this type I have ever read, and I have read MANY!
Hey Bret
Love your stuff. Bought 2X4 and am planning to start hitting it now soon. I have my mother doing Strong Curves.
50 kg strict form deadlifts aged 58 on week 4. Turns out she is a natural!! and a beast!
I would be interested in getting spreadsheets if possible.
Keep up the good work
Shane
Shane, see the link in this article – it will allow you to download it. Thanks man, I appreciate the support!
Done.
Thanks for that.
Yeah I’m a trainer myself and read strong curves in my zeal to understand programming for females a bit better. Loved it and when your 2×4 popped up I thought what the hell. I really need to up my programming game! Any recommended reads I may not have hit yet?
Was hoping you might have it in a spreadsheet also but I guess I can just knuckle down and make my own.
Either way thanks. I appreciate the response.
Hi Bret,
I’ve just finished reading Strong Curves and I’m so excited! I’ve started the full body workout this week. I’m 5ft and weigh 97lbs, I’m pretty small and skinny and was wondering if I can still achieve a healthy looking body. My background is Asian and I’m very keen to grow a butt! Would I need to eat more to gain weight? I also work in hospitality, so differently from most people, I work standing for about 9 hours 5 days a week. Thanks in advance
Hey Bret!
Great read, and the workouts are killer. Been doing them for four weeks, now, and I have really noticed a difference. Hope you’ll be at the Toronto Supershow this weekend! It’d be great to meet you!
Hi Bret! I’ve bought the book from Amazon. I’m really excited about this programme. I’m from Argentina. Thanks a lot!!!
Hi Bret, I have purchased your strong curves book and I am on week 8 of bootyful beginning program. I slowly added weights to this program in the past 8 weeks because bodyweight exercises were getting too easy for me. I am wondering if this was the right move.. also, is it ok to repeat this program before moving on to gluteal goddess program? I just feel that it is necessary for me to repeat it but I am worried that I will not progress. Please advise, Thank you!
Hi Bret! I just finished reading over Strong Curves and loved it . I’m a pretty advanced lifter but I am curious. If I am looking to lose about 20-30 pounds, will the glutes only program still be beneficial ? Or should I do full body for better results ? Also if I want to train 5 days a week how would that routine look like according to your book? The book shows a 4 day routine but i don’t know how a 5day would look. Please get back to me. Thank you!!!
Hi Bret and Kellie,
I am interested in finding out what you would suggest at a 5 day a week schedule as well. Would you suggest repeating the B or C workout?
Thanks in advanced,
Jenn
Hi Brett,
Absolutely love this book – it is my Glute Bible – Thank you thank you for publishing it. However I had a question for you..
I am nearing the end of Gluteal Goddess and seen my strength explode in so many areas but I wonder, once I’ve completed the programme should I just keep cycling this from the beginning? At what point should I try another programme? I’m reluctant to try other ones as I only trust yours for optimal glute training!
Many thanks,
Emma
Emma, use the template I provided to create your own workouts – it’s in the book. You should be able to do this since you’ve gained experience. Thank you very much, BC
Thank you for the quick reply. If you ever come to London I’d love to book you for a session.
Hi Bret,
I bought your book and have really enjoyed reading it and have been working with the beginning program. I have a question about the workout. I have noticed my hips are now narrowing and squaring off since beginning the workout. I was wondering which exercises I should omit since I really didn’t want to lose my hip curve to become straight up and down. I don’t have hugely wide hips to begin with and I’m starting to look less feminine with a squarer butt. Just wondering what you would recommend to fix this? Thanks.
I have been following the workouts in this book for about 6-7 weeks now, and I have NEVER felt more empowered or strong in the weight room! Thanks for making a resource for women who value strength and form, and who don’t exist solely for the elliptical trainer. I LOVE this book!
Is it safe for 14 year olds to do the Strong Curves program?
Hello Bret, I purchase the book a couple of days ago.
I am doing the program at my house in my garage, unfortunately I don’t have all the equipment required in the book.
Currently following booty-ful beginnings.
Wondering what kind of variations could I do for BW 45degres back ext.
Thanks.
@Leidy you could do these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnjXAAr29Lc
HI Bret,
I just purchased your book and printed out the workout sheets, very excited to get started. I don’t see a warm-up reference sheet though, is it something i missed or maybe it just doesn’t exist? I would find that helpful so I don’t have to carry around the book at the gym.
Thanks
Hello- I purchased the hard copy of this book and loving it so far! I found the printable training logs online- is there a printable version somewhere for those of us who have purchased the book of the workout program pages so that I can put them in a binder or folder and take them to the gym?
Hello ! (first of all, forgive my english, I’m French 🙂 ) – I’ve done the Strong Curves advanced part and I’d like to say that it litteraly changed my life for the best. I was a Cardio-starving queen for all my life and now I feel strong in my body but in my mind too. I really like the fullbody workouts : it’s less boring and I have less muscle soreness. With this book I also learn how to workout on my own using your template and doing it with heavy or less weight, sometimes only bw, band ect.. SO SINCE YOUR BOOK, GOING TO THE GYM IS FUN FOR ME 🙂 . And I don’t talk about that booty (I don’t ever want to go back to the skinny me) ! I will soon send you the before-after pictures 🙂 Have a great life ! PN
